Tata Motors has rolled out its biggest EV discount sheet of 2026, with benefits stretching up to Rs 3.35 lakh across the Harrier EV, Nexon EV, Curvv EV (non-X trims), pre-facelift Punch EV and pre-facelift Tiago EV. The push follows the Sierra EV launch and aims to clear old inventory before facelift stock lands.

What was announced

Tata Motors has announced sharp cash and exchange benefits across its EV range for July 2026, following the recent launch of the Sierra EV. The stated ceiling is Rs 3.35 lakh, applied to the Harrier EV. Benefits are stacked from cash discount, exchange or scrappage bonus, corporate or intervention bonus and loyalty bonus, so the effective saving varies by variant, city and buyer profile. Tata's EV portfolio is now near fully electrified; only the Safari EV (expected later in 2026, unconfirmed) and Altroz EV (delayed post-showcase) remain missing.

Rs 3.35 lakh off a Harrier EV is not a festive gesture, it is Tata making room for what comes next.

The Nexon EV, still Tata's volume EV, gets the smallest cut because it does not need help moving. Curvv EV discounts exclude the newer X trims. Punch EV and Tiago EV discounts apply only to pre-facelift stock, signalling refreshed variants are close.

Tata EV Discounts, July 2026
ModelMaximum Benefit
Harrier EVUp to Rs 3.35 lakh
Curvv EV (excl. X trims)Substantial, variant dependent
Punch EV (pre-facelift)Substantial, variant dependent
Tiago EV (pre-facelift)Substantial, variant dependent
Nexon EV (all variants)Up to Rs 50,000

Nexon EV benefit includes Rs 15,000 cash discount plus up to Rs 35,000 exchange or scrappage bonus. Exact figures on other models vary by dealer; Tata recommends visiting the nearest outlet for a confirmed quote.

The Car Jury verdict

This is Tata clearing decks, not celebrating demand. With the Sierra EV now on sale and the Harrier EV, Punch EV and Tiago EV all heading for or emerging from facelift cycles, dealers are sitting on stock that has to move before newer trims arrive. If you were already shortlisting a Harrier EV or Curvv EV, July is the month to close the deal. Both are TCJ BUY-rated, and Rs 3 lakh-plus off a Harrier EV materially changes its value equation against the Mahindra BE 6.

Two cautions. The pre-facelift Punch EV and Tiago EV discounts exist because a refresh is imminent, so weigh the saving against being one model cycle behind. As Biturbo Media notes, "one strong point we always see with Tata is that they build their cars like tanks", and that build reassurance still holds. Negotiate hard; the printed number is rarely the final number.
