In her words

What a car means to me

A car has never just been a way to get from one place to another for me. Growing up, I wanted to drive everything I could, every shape, every size, anything with a steering wheel and an open road in front of it. A car meant freedom, and it still does.

That feeling is what brought me here. I am based in Dubai now, and the dream I had as a kid, of driving the fast ones, the supercars, the machines the rest of us only saw on posters, is finally real. Sitting behind the wheel of one of them is not about speed for its own sake. It is about the moment it gives you, the feeling that nothing is holding you back.

I love talking about what cars can do, and what they do to you when you drive them. That is what I want to bring to The Car Jury: the part of a car you can only describe once you have actually felt it.

From a Maruti 800 to a Porsche

Shivangi's story is in this list. It starts with the cars she grew up around, an old Maruti 800, a Zen, a Premier Padmini, the kind of cars that taught a whole generation in India how to drive. It runs all the way to the machines she only ever dreamed about. Same love for being behind the wheel, much bigger engines.

About

What she covers

Shivangi writes from the driver's seat. Her focus is the fun end of the market: supercars, sports cars, and anything built to be enjoyed rather than simply driven. Where the rest of the site weighs value, space, and running costs, she covers the part that never shows up on a spec sheet, how a car makes you feel when you point it at a clear road.

Her articles will appear here as they publish.
