Renault Kiger gets Rs 1.25 lakh off in July 2026: buy signal or clearance?

Renault has published July 2026 offers on the Kiger, Triber and Kwid, with the Kiger carrying the steepest sweetener at up to Rs 1.25 lakh. The Duster, Renault's flagship, is not on the offer sheet this month. Benefits vary sharply by state, with Kerala buyers pocketing the maximum.
What was announced
Renault's July 2026 offer sheet covers the Kiger, Triber and Kwid; the Duster is excluded. The Kiger carries the highest total benefit at up to Rs 1.25 lakh, with the exact figure varying by state, dealership and stock. Offers are valid till July 31, 2026.
A Rs 1.25 lakh benefit on a sub-Rs 12 lakh compact SUV is not routine; it is Renault telling you the Kiger needs help moving.
| Component | Kerala | Gujarat | Rest of India |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cash discount | Rs 50,000 | Rs 30,000 | Rs 20,000 |
| Exchange bonus (up to) | Rs 50,000 | Rs 40,000 | Rs 25,000 |
| Scrappage benefit (up to) | Rs 25,000 | Available | Available |
| Loyalty benefit (up to) | Rs 18,000 | Available | Available |
| Referral benefit | Not specified | Not specified | Available |
Kerala buyers can stack all four heads to reach the headline Rs 1.25 lakh figure. Actual benefits depend on variant, city and dealer stock; not all buyers will qualify for scrappage and loyalty simultaneously.
The Triber and Kwid also carry offers this month, but at smaller quanta than the Kiger. The Duster, Renault's newest and most expensive model in India, is not being discounted, which tracks with its recent launch cycle and current order book.
The Car Jury verdict
A Rs 1.25 lakh sticker off a sub-Rs 12 lakh compact SUV is not routine; it is a signal. Renault India's volumes outside the Duster are thin, and the Kiger is being pushed hard while the Duster holds firm without any discount. Team-BHP notes that "the Renault Duster is back and Renault is not being subtle about it," and that positioning is squeezing the Kiger from within its own showroom.
Our take: if you were already cross-shopping the Kiger against a Maruti Brezza, this is your window; the turbo-petrol Kiger with a Rs 1 lakh-plus benefit is genuinely competitive on drive and value. If you were only mildly curious, the discount is not a reason to buy a car whose network and resale trail the Maruti and Tata rivals. Kerala, Gujarat and scrappage-eligible buyers gain the most.
