Tata Curvv Gets Rs 1.25 Lakh Off In August: The Petrol SUV Buyer's Best Deal

Tata Motors has confirmed August 2026 offers across its combustion-powered range, with the coupe-SUV Curvv leading the pile at up to Rs 1.25 lakh in total benefits. The Nexon, Sierra and Altroz each carry over Rs 55,000 off, while the Punch and updated 2026 Tiago remain excluded from the promotion.
What was announced
Tata has published its August 2026 consumer offers on combustion-powered models. The Curvv attracts the deepest benefits, followed by the Sierra diesel and the Nexon. The Punch and the newly updated 2026 Tiago are excluded. Offers run until 31 August 2026 and vary by city, dealership and stock.
A Rs 1.25 lakh discount on a car this new tells you Tata is chasing volumes, not clearing dead stock; the Curvv is finally priced where it should have launched.
| Model | Cash discount | Loyalty bonus | Scrappage or exchange | Total up to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Curvv | Rs 30,000 | Rs 40,000 | Rs 45,000 scrappage or Rs 40,000 exchange | Rs 1.25 lakh |
| Sierra (diesel only) | Rs 30,000 | Rs 30,000 | Rs 30,000 level-up bonus | Rs 90,000 |
| Nexon | Disclosed in bundle | Disclosed in bundle | Disclosed in bundle | Rs 75,000 |
| Altroz | Disclosed in bundle | Disclosed in bundle | Disclosed in bundle | Over Rs 55,000 |
The scrappage benefit on the Curvv requires a valid scrappage certificate for an old vehicle; buyers without one can opt for the smaller exchange bonus instead. The Sierra offer is restricted to the diesel variant; the petrol turbo is not part of the August promotion. Punch and 2026 Tiago carry no consumer offers this month.
Benefits on the Harrier, Safari and Tigor have also been announced but sit below the headline models in scale. Buyers should confirm on-ground numbers at their nearest dealership, as regional stock clearance can push actual out-the-door discounts higher, particularly on the Curvv and Sierra diesel.
The Car Jury verdict
The Curvv discount is the one to grab. Rs 1.25 lakh off a coupe-SUV that already undercuts the Creta on paper turns it into the value pick in the segment, not a compromise. The catch is that the headline number stacks a scrappage certificate on top of the loyalty bonus, so a first-time buyer without an old car to junk will realistically see closer to Rs 70,000.
The Sierra deal is more interesting than it looks. Diesel-only benefits of Rs 90,000 signal Tata is clearing pre-facelift diesel stock, which lines up with Gagan Choudhary's SWOT read of the nameplate as a work-in-progress. If you want the Sierra, wait; if you want a Curvv or Curvv EV, August is the month. The Nexon's Rs 75,000 is routine and can be beaten in September.
