Mahindra Hikes Prices Up To 2.7%: Second Bump This Year, EVs Mostly Spared

Mahindra has raised prices across most of its range by up to 2.7 percent, effective July 10, 2026. This is the second cumulative hike this year after a 2.5 percent increase in April. The Scorpio N holds steady on ICE, and only the XEV 9S is affected in the EV lineup.
What was announced
Mahindra has increased prices across its combustion-powered lineup by up to 2.7 percent, effective July 10, 2026. The company cites commodity cost escalation. This is the second hike of the year, following a 2.5 percent increase in April 2026. The Scorpio N is the sole ICE model left untouched. In the EV lineup, only the three-row XEV 9S sees an increase, with its starting price up by Rs 70,000, the sharpest single jump in the range. The BE 6, XEV 9e and XUV 3XO EV are unchanged.
Two hikes in four months tells you Mahindra is pricing to waitlists, not to costs, and the Scorpio N freeze proves it knows where the ceiling sits.

The Car Jury verdict
Two hikes inside four months, blamed on "commodity cost escalations," is Mahindra testing how much pricing power its waitlists actually carry. On the SUVs where demand is genuinely hot, the increases are modest in rupee terms and will not derail bookings. The Scorpio N being frozen is telling: Mahindra knows exactly which nameplate cannot absorb another rupee against the Toyota Fortuner and Tata Harrier. Faisal Khan of FasBeam recently called the refreshed Bolero a genuinely updated product, and that range now costs more too.
For buyers, the read is simple. If you are close to booking a Thar Roxx, XUV 7XO or XUV 3XO, do it this month before the next cycle. EV shoppers eyeing the BE 6 or XEV 9e get a free pass, and that is the real value pocket in Mahindra's lineup right now.
