Mahindra Vision S Interior Spied: BE6 Steering Signals Sub-4m With Big Car Kit

Fresh spy footage from the torque_bhai account has caught the interior of Mahindra's upcoming Vision S, the brand's next sub-4m SUV on the multi-energy NU IQ platform. The test mule, still wearing Thar Roxx circular headlights as camouflage, reveals a cabin that borrows the steering wheel from the BE6.
What was announced
Mahindra Auto is preparing four next-generation SUVs on the multi-energy NU IQ platform: Vision S, Vision X, Vision T and Vision SXT. The Vision S, a sub-4m SUV, will launch first. Spy activity has been steady over recent weeks, with earlier sightings covering the exterior and, more recently, the production-spec angular L-shaped headlights.
Putting the BE6 steering in a sub-4m Mahindra is the clearest sign yet that the Nexon is about to face a genuinely modern rival.
The latest development is a spy video from the torque_bhai Instagram account, showing the Vision S interior for the first time. The test mule was captured stationary in a parking lot. It still carries the makeshift circular Thar Roxx headlights used as camouflage, rather than the newer L-shaped units seen on a separate mule.
Inside, the key takeaway is the steering wheel, which is lifted directly from the Mahindra BE6 electric SUV. The dashboard layout and switchgear visible in the footage suggest this particular mule is a mid-spec or upper mid-spec trim, leaving headroom for additional equipment on top variants at launch. Seat design, cabin space and feature detailing are visible in the footage, though full trim-wise equipment splits are not yet confirmed by Mahindra.
Mahindra has not published a launch timeline, pricing band or powertrain lineup for the Vision S. The NU IQ platform is engineered for multiple energy sources, so petrol, diesel and electric variants are all on the table. A 2027 market launch remains the working expectation.
The Car Jury verdict
The Vision S matters because Mahindra keeps failing in the sub-4m box. Team-BHP rightly notes that "Mahindra tried body-on-frame sub-4m utility vehicles as well, but the Quanto UV300 and the Novo Sport did not become mainstream successes." The Vision S is the first proper attempt with a modern monocoque-friendly platform and cabin borrowed from cars buyers already respect.
Lifting the steering from the BE6, which we rate a BUY, is the smartest signal here. It tells us Mahindra is not building a stripped-down Bolero Neo replacement; it is bringing genuine XEV 9E-grade cabin ambition into Nexon and Brezza territory. If pricing lands sensibly, the Vision S will hurt the Nexon far more than the Tata Sierra will hurt Mahindra. Wait for the production reveal; do not commit to a Nexon or Brezza right now.
