July 2026 Launches: Renault Kwid Facelift Leads A Thin Month

Six new cars are lined up for launch in India through July 2026, spanning the entry hatch, luxury EV and premium SUV segments. The list is headlined by the Renault Kwid facelift arriving today, with the BMW iX3, a fresh crop of facelifts and updated variants filling out the rest of the month.
What was announced
July 2026 brings six new launches across mass-market and luxury segments. The Renault Kwid facelift leads the month with a launch today, 3rd July 2026. It is expected to draw exterior cues from the Renault Kwid E-Tech sold globally, and inside it could adopt the 10.1-inch touchscreen from the new-generation Duster, paired with Google built-in services. Feature additions on the cards include keyless entry, push-button start, all-four power windows, cruise control, steering-mounted controls and rear AC vents. The 1.0-litre petrol engine is expected to carry over.
The BMW iX3 is the only July 2026 launch worth planning around; everything else is a facelift you can safely wait out.
Preceding this, June 2026 saw the Maruti WagonR Flex Fuel model and the Tata Sierra EV go on sale in the mass market, while the luxury segment received the BMW X6 (M60i xDrive), Mini Countryman C and Mercedes-Benz S-Class Hybrid. July has already delivered new top variants of the Kia Seltos and the launch of the Skoda Kodiaq RS.
| Model | Type | Segment |
|---|---|---|
| Renault Kwid facelift | Facelift | Entry hatch |
| Kia Seltos top variants | Variant addition | Mid-size SUV |
| Skoda Kodiaq RS | New variant | Premium SUV |
| BMW iX3 | New model | Luxury EV SUV |
Two additional launches are expected later in the month; pricing for the Kwid facelift is yet to be confirmed.
The Car Jury verdict
July 2026 is a thin month with one genuinely interesting launch and a lot of noise. The Kwid facelift matters because, as Biturbo Media notes, "most of the cars in the A-segment are from Maruti", and Renault badly needs a credible answer to the Alto and S-Presso. A 10.1-inch screen and push-button start help, but the 1.0 petrol is unchanged and Maruti's engine discipline, which Gagan Choudhary of MotorOctane calls its "simple funda to work great in the engine department", still defines this segment.
The BMW iX3 is the month's real headline. Rachit Hirani of MotorOctane flagged a "launch between June to September 2026", and it now lands on schedule. For everything else, wait: facelifts this compressed rarely justify old-stock discounts disappearing overnight.
